Sakura aka Cherry Blossoms
One of the things I love about spring is the blooming of the cherry blossoms! And no where on earth is this event as epic as it is in Japan!

It took a little longer this year for them to bloom (can anyone say global warming?) but they are finally in full bloom all over Japan.

Everywhere you go it looks as if all the trees are covered in snow. It is romantic, ethereal and very poetic. Parks all over Japan are littered with people celebrating this event with hanami (cherry blossom viewing) parties under the blooming trees. Now that’s a party not to be missed! Happy blossoming!
