In Vietnam
Going into my third week of this wonderful trip. Spent the first week with family, hung out with the locals, went to a wedding (there seems to be multiple weddings happening EVERYDAY). We’ve been to Ha Long Bay which was spectacular. Did a bit of kayaking under a cave, saw one of the biggest cave in Vietnam. Spent a night on a boat. Went to Sapa and it was so very cold!!! Talked to many villagers, who despite their environment & financial status & living arrangments (5-7 people in a small hut), still had access to modern television, a cell phone and Facebook!!! Back in Hanoi today to see the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. Architecture in Vietnam is a mosh posh of sheds right next to traditionally ornate and colourful houses. Will give more details once back home & have more time. Will also post pictures when I can find a computer that’s not slow.
